What is a tenvir tablet ?

The tenvir tablet is an antiviral drug used to treat infections of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV). Tenofovir is a component of tenvir 300mg drug. The tenvir 300 mg drug is not an HIV or HBV cure. It just stops the body from spreading the virus. Throughout receipt of this medication, close monitoring of liver function and kidney function is needed.

When is it prescribed ?

Tenvir 300 mg tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions, and symptoms

• Hepatitis b virus
• HIV

How does it work ?

This operates by preventing the replication of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV). It helps to reduce the chances of developing acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV and HBV-related diseases. This stops the virus from spreading in human cells. This will keep the virus from producing new viruses and will clear up the infection.

Precaution of Tenvir 300 mg tablet

At the first start of this drug, certain patients show symptoms of immune reconstitution syndrome. Upon discontinuing tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, patients with hepatitis B can experience an acute exacerbation of symptoms of hepatitis. The safety and efficacy of prescribing Tenvir to patients co-infected with hepatitis B and HIV have yet been identified, and patients with hepatitis should be monitored closely for several months after stopping using these medications.

Patients taking this drug have reported a loss of concentration of bone minerals and osteomalacia. Taking this medication with nephrotoxic drugs can increase the risk of kidney effects.
