It can be applied anytime while there is an outbreak, but it works best when applied at the start of the outbreak. The early application helps in keeping the virus in check making sure that it doesn’t spread so that the outbreak regions remain limited. One needs to use Acyclovir tube precisely as directed by your doctor. After a four day course, your symptoms should overall improve. If there is no improvement, you need to contact your doctor immediately.
